Choose the category a source opens on

A source opens on its first category. If you always watch one — Sports, News, a country — pin it as the default and every visit starts there.

What it does

A source opens on the first category in your own order rather than the provider's full channel list. Pinning a default overrides that, so the source always opens where you want it.

Steps

1. Open the IPTV tab and pick the playlist you want.
2. Move to the category bar above the channels.
3. Hold OK on a category — or long-press it on a phone.
4. Choose Set as default.
5. Leave and reopen the source. It lands on that category.

To undo it, open the same menu on that category and choose Clear default category. The same menu also holds Hide category.

Good to know

• The default is per source — every playlist or panel keeps its own.
• It survives refreshes and restarts, and travels with backups and phone-to-TV transfers.
• Changing category while browsing does not change the default; only the menu does.
• Hiding a category clears its default too, so unhiding it later cannot quietly restore it.
