Reorder categories and lists

Put the categories you watch at the top, in the order you want them — and arrange your saved lists the same way.

What it does

Sets the order categories appear in for one source. That order is what you see in the category bar — and it decides which category the source opens on when you have not pinned a default.

Steps

1. Open Settings › Live TV & DVR › IPTV Playlists.
2. Select the source you want to arrange, then Category order. On a phone it is the other way round — tap Category order on the main list, then pick your source.
3. Select a row to pick it up. A line shows where it will land.
4. Move to the destination — on a remote, ◀ ▶ jump ten rows at a time.
5. Select again to drop it there.

For long lists, hold OK on a row (or tap ⋯) for Move to top, Move to bottom and Move to position…. Past six rows a search field appears: type to jump to a row, or to drop the row you are holding onto it.

Good to know

• Search only finds rows — reordering always happens in the full list.
• Categories added by a later refresh go to the end, so your order stays put.
• Reset restores the provider's original order.
• On a phone you can also drag a row, or tap a row and then tap where it should go.
• Both orders are per source, and are included in backups and transfers.
